"Soon after official UK launch, OPPO has announced their expansion in Poland and Turkey. European region continues to be an important market for smartphone brands. While, the overall region is likely to show a modest decline, there are still emerging countries like Russia, Bulgaria Hungary, Romania, Turkey and Poland which are likely to grow this year and can be potential markets for Chinese OEMs. European market entry calls for careful observation of the market including dedicated portfolio with a focus on carrier channels as a key part of channel strategy. Hence, few OEMs with deep pockets can chalk a successful expansion plan. We estimate OPPO, vivo, Huawei and Xiaomi, among key Chinese companies, to compete for market share in Europe in 2019 and beyond." – Tarun Pathak
