"A few months ago, Xiaomi opened its first MiStore in Brazil. The store sells many of Xiaomi’s ecosystem products such as surveillance cameras, sports bands, smartphones, etc. For the 100 days commemoration, its Senior Vice President Wang Xiao visited the store and the market to show the brand’s commitment to Brazil. Wang also commented that Xiaomi will open another store in Brazil this year. Xiaomi returned to Brazil after it left this market in 2016. Learning from its last failed attempt to conquer the Brazilian market, Xiaomi partnered with local manufacturer and distributor DL (which was founded in 2004 by a Chinese immigrant) as the local partner to manage its operation and distribution in Brazil. Xiaomi already has stores in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico." – Tina Lu
