- 5G smartphone shipments increased by 17% QoQ and led by Apple and Samsung.
- Consequently, shipments of 5G-enabled smartphones overtook the shipments of LTE smartphones in Q2 2022.
- Top 5 brands contribute more than 80% of total 5G shipments in Q2 2022.
- QoQ, however, shipments of 5G-enabled smartphones declined by 7%.
- 5G penetration, however, remained strong at 43%, up from 42% last quarter and 33% in the same quarter of last year.
- China accounted for close to 35% of all 5G phones shipped followed by USA at over 16% in Q2 2022.
