Overview:
The Festive season witnessed 6% YoY growth this year in smartphone segment as the market started recovering due to strong demand for 5G and premium devices. Financing and higher trade-in offers were also the highlights as both features aided the growth of the premium segment.
Offline channel growth was witnessed throughout the year and the same persisted during festive sales as well. Offline channels grew 18% YoY this year festive sales. Flipkart remained as the top online platform with 49% share followed by Amazon with 46% share. ‘Others’ share reduced this year mainly due to a decline in mi.com as Xiaomi’s overall sales fell YoY.
